In creating this painting I was inspired by a visit to the Land of Lavender, a place where I recharged my soul, all my senses were touched and I felt physically embraced, surrounded and touched by color, scent and the so perfect nature. The road to the magical place passes through a beautiful village inhabited mainly by ethnic Hungarians, very well maintained and clean, which made me miss the countryside, awoke beautiful memories (I still have relatives in that part of the country) and impressed me with its simplicity and peaceful naturalness. To emphasize that silence, that peace of the almost-taken-from-a-fairytales-book village, I preferred that the action took place at night, in totally peace, under the moonlight that reigned carefully over this fantastic landscape and in the mysteri
